My web design philosophy is to strike the right balance between aesthetics, usability, and Search Engine Optimization. I am certified in web design and web development from the University of Wisconsin. I gained most of my web experience as a web specialist for the University, where standards-compliant design and accessibility were highly stressed, along with creating clean, functional, and responsive designs that were intuitive and easy-to-use.

Aside from creating websites, 70% of my job responsibilities were to maintain and update the websites that the University currently runs. As a result, I've gained a lot of experience in troubleshooting and debugging layout issues, website design problems, and server connectivity problems. Lately, I've been learning about and working on responsive layouts for mobile websites (try resizing your browser on this site if you're on a desktop; the layout adapts to the viewport size).
