My professional print design experience was gained by working for the Wisconsin Engineer Magazine, a 116-yr old magazine that has been printing four issues yearly since 1896. I was responsible for designing the graphics and logos for the magazine articles, along with laying out the page design and fitting all the text, graphics, and pictures on a two-page spread while maintaining a clean and engaging aesthetic appeal. All the layouts below were created in Adobe InDesign, while the logos and graphics were created in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
The last set of print layouts were made as booklet leaf inserts for promotional marketing. They were printed on cardstock paper in multiples of 500. The designs also helped create a professional brand identity for the various dining venues and buildings featured in the layouts.
